Era il 1988 quando, per la prima volta, furono consegnati gli Eisner Awards ai migliori fumetti pubblicati sul territorio americano nell’anno precedente. A dare loro il nome, almeno nella versione che conosciamo ora – se volete saperne di più su tutta la storia, date un’occhiata qui – è stato Will Eisner, uno de grandi maestri del fumetto mondiale, a cui dobbiamo opere quali The Spirit e Contratto con Dio.
I premi sono generalmente conferiti durante il Comic-Con di San Diego, dopo una lunga votazione online in due fasi. La prima fase prevede che i potenziali elettori si iscrivano al sito https://cci.tiny.us/2p8r8e6c e compilino un modulo; gli idonei, saranno invitati ad accedere alla scheda elettorale e a esprimere il proprio voto. Possono votare tutti i professionisti dell’industria del fumetto.
